The Municipality of Sipoo Utilizes the Finnish Eco Weedkiller Pro Multi-Purpose Machine in Its Green Area Work

Sipoo’s maintained outdoor areas include a wide variety of sites, from parks to paved streets and from green spaces to environmental artworks. During the summer, a green care team of about 12 people is responsible for maintaining public spaces—some are the municipality’s permanent gardeners, while others are seasonal workers.

Versatility, Ease of Use, and Finnish Origin Led to the Choice

Around 2020, the municipality began exploring alternatives for chemical-free weed control. The final decision came down to two options: the Eco Weedkiller Pro and a competing weed control machine.

As a public sector operator, the municipality valued the Finnish origin of the Eco Weedkiller. Another key factor was its user-friendliness. The device was tested in a local park, and it proved to be more straightforward than the competitor. No adjustments were needed at startup, and there was no need to set the water temperature, as the unit is fully automated. It heats the water to 100°C and maintains the temperature consistently during use.
